1. Technical Sales Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sales professional and a key role within Harcon Services.

Based in Manchester and part of the highly successful privately owned multi-million pound Kee Safety Group, Harcon Services Ltd is a well-established company with an enviable reputation for supplying, installing & servicing fall protection systems, safe access systems, ground based safety barrier solutions and lightning protection.

Our Medium-Term Plan places a clear emphasis on the development of our Fall Protection Solutions and Services Sales, in order to develop significant revenue growth on all of our products. The responsibility for sales forecasting and plan execution are key aspects of this role, as is the development and mentoring of the sales team.

We expect you to work closely with the Harcon General Manager, making a direct contribution to our strategic development in terms of new business and routes to market. You must also work closely with the Contracts Department to ensure the effective planning and utilisation of resources.

Your Role will focus on 4 key areas

  1. The delivery of a personal sales targets
  2. Generation of a Safety Solutions business
  3. Building repeat customer relationships
  4. Management of your own Burndown List (Order Opportunities)

We expect you to become a key player within Harcon and work closely with the General Manager, making a direct contribution to our strategic development in terms of business development.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • The delivery of a personal monthly sales target.
  • Key account management and sector targeting to include customer visits and on-site meetings.
  • Lead by example with site surveys and quotations as and when required in order to achieve individual sales target.
  • The development and collation of all required weekly/monthly sales data, identifying issues and planned resolution.
  • Motivating, coaching, inspiring and ensuring the effective provision of required sales training for all members of the Team.
  • Follow processes to control, manage and continually improve margins and drive down costs.
  • Operate in accordance with Group Factored Product Approval guidelines.
  • Development of fall protection solution type business with a focus on new business generation using proven GDM Techniques.
  • The successful launch of all new products.
  • Give support to the Contracts Manager & General Manager.
  • Ensuring a full understanding of competitor activity and strengths and weaknesses.
  • The development of our products in line with the Brand Pyramid.
  • All other tasks within the Sales Development/Management area as requested by the General Manager.

2. Lightning Protection Technician

What is it?

This is an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic Lightning Protection Technician. This role will involve performing planned preventative maintenance, recertification and remedial repair works to our existing and new service client base throughout the UK.

Where is it?

Based in Manchester and part of the highly successful privately owned multi-million pound Kee Safety Group, Harcon Services Ltd is a well-established company with an enviable reputation for supplying, installing & servicing fall protection systems, safe access systems, ground based safety barrier solutions and lightning protection.

Poised for further growth, we have reached an exciting phase in our development and are now looking to strengthen our highly motivated team by appointing a suitably experienced Lightning Protection Technician.

What does this role entail?

  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance / Recertification / Remedial Repair Works to Lightning Protection Systems on our existing and new service client sites.
  • Ensure all works are completed in accordance with our Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality policies.
  • Complete the onsite Planned Preventative Maintenance / Recertification works to ensure all systems are compliant with current Codes of Practice and relevant legislation.
  • Complete site inspection and audit reports, clearly identifying non-compliant installations and provide accurate details to facilitate client reports.
  • Complete all site visits in accordance with planned schedules.
  • Provide technical support on Lightning Protection Systems.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and build excellent client relationships.
  • Ensure excellent communication with our clients and clearly demonstrate your knowledge in delivering a quality of service at all times.
  • This role will involve additional training on our Group company products, Fall Protection and Safe Access solutions, with a view to becoming competent to complete works on these various products in conjunction with Lightning Protection Systems.
  • This role will require frequent travel throughout the UK.

3. Safety Technician

What is it?

This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably experienced Safety Technician. This role will involve performing installation and planned preventative maintenance, recertification and remedial repair works to our existing and new service client base throughout the UK.

Job Duties     

  • Carry out Installation works on our Fall Protection and Safe Access solutions.
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance / Recertification / Remedial Repair Works on our existing and new service client sites.
  • Ensure all works are completed in accordance with our Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality policies.
  • Complete o site Installation works in accordance with Installation design drawings ensuring that Installation works are compliant with current Codes of Practice and relevant legislation.
  • Complete on site the Planned Preventative Maintenance / Recertification works to ensure all systems are compliant with current Codes of Practice and relevant legislation.
  • Complete site inspection and audit reports, clearly identifying non-compliant installations and provide accurate details to facilitate client reports.
  • Complete all site visits in accordance with planned schedules.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and build excellent client relationships.
  • Ensure excellent communication with our clients and clearly demonstrate your knowledge in delivering a quality of service at all times.
  • This role will involve additional training on our Group company products and services.
