Ship Style Ladders

Wherever possible it is desirable to install sloped ladders rather than vertical, Harcon Services offers a ships ladder used for access requiring a slope of at least 65º up to 75º. This incline removes the fall risk from a standard ladder, reducing the amount of training required by the user and allowing easier and more ready access.

Product Details

Ships type ladders offer a superior means of access over traditional cat ladders owing to the slope allowing easier ascent and descent. The slope also means that the requirement for a rest platform (as per traditional ladders) is removed as the level of potential fatigue is much lower when using a ship type ladder.

In order to prevent falls from the side of a ship type ladder hand railing is required on each open edge.   This hand rail can then be integrated into roof safety barriers and walkways where required.

Harcon Services can supply you with a ship type ladder in either Aluminium or Galvanised Steel dependent on your site requirements. Whatever your buildings structure Harcon Services can provide a solution for fixing that compliments the existing structure, whether the structure is steel, masonry, concrete or cladding.
