When internal access is required via a roof hatch it is often the case that this is in a public area. Permanent ladders cause two main problems; aesthetically a permanent ladder in a building is not generally a preferred choice and secondly there is a risk of unauthorised access.
To remove these issues, and still provide safe access to the roof Harcon Services can provide a complete solution using an anchorage at ceiling height or within the hatch shaft, a removable ladder and securing devices like footings and ladder ties. Designed specifically to suit your building these solutions are ideal and can be made as unobtrusive as possible.
Where hatch shafts are long we can provide a fixed ladder within the shaft and a removable section for the lower requirement.
Fall protection can be provided for the higher sections, and anchorages in and around the hatch area are recommended and can be provided.
